Zombie Apocalypse Live!: Santa's Slay

13th Floor Haunted House presents a tactical, live action, video game like zombie shooting experience, Zombie Apocalypse LIVE! You and your team will use state of the art weapons to clear apocalyptic and infested areas where the undead have invaded. You will need to navigate your way through on coming infectious zombies and make the right choices when encountering survivalists, are they friend or foe? The weapons you will be using are military grade training replicas. Their size, form, and function are similar to real world models. Pull the trigger for a live bang, recoil, and muzzle flash.

The zombies will be wearing cutting – edge head shot targets that will flash to indicate a hit. Beware! Some zombies may need to be hit more than once to be killed. Don’t forget to aim for the head.

I drink cat poop coffee

Kopi Luwak, which is a coffee made from “the beans of coffee berries once they have been eaten and egested by the Asian palm civet," a.k.a. coffee made out of beans that a cat pooped out. The Kopi Luwak coffee industry is rife with fakes and abusers, so I did my best and found a farm that appeared to be on the up-and-up and ordered from them - for a whopping $45 for 4 ounces of coffee! Luckily, I found three other suckers willing to go in on it with me.

UPDATE: Even for my precious mouth, it was on the thin side, and I had to be very generous with the cream and sugar. It was definitely smooth, but there was nothing else to it.

For future reference if I ever come into money: you can buy Black Ivory Coffee, which are beans collected from elephant feces, for a "mere" $66 for ~1.25 ounces.

I become a certified scuba diver

We left late Thursday and spent the evening in the Glenwood Springs hot springs under a nearly full moon, as well as in Wal-Mart, in true Thomas family tradition. &.&

Friday we hiked to Hanging Lake before continuing on the road to Utah.

We glissaded nearly the entire 1,000 feet down.

We crossed the stateline that afternoon, and we stopped at Dinosaur National Monument, where we saw 1,000-year-old petroglyphs.

Saturday and Sunday were filled by scuba classes in Homestead Crater in Utah, which was a balmy 95 degrees, and I came home an official certified open water diver! Turns out scuba is a lot more fun when you're not confined to a tiny pool.

Sorry about my finger.

Interesting fact: Homestead Crater was featured in 127 Hours!
